Totem Pole, end of Addison Ave. (10:00am)
Buckingham Fountain, Grant Park (10:40am)

The Saturday ride meets at 10 a.m. at the Totem Pole in Lincoln Park, (end of Addison Avenue.) The riders generally head south along the lakefront to the east side of Buckingham Fountain where they will meet up with the "Southerners" at about 10:40 a.m. Then the ride continues south, following the bike path all the way to Hyde Park for a breakfast stop before returning to Lincoln Park. This is a leisurely 30-mile round-trip ride for bikers at all levels and generally takes 45 minutes each way, not including the breakfast stop. Please meet us at the Totem pole, It's a great way to check out the club.

Forest Preserve parking lot, 1 mile N of Devon, W. side of Caldwell
Mark C.’s townhouse is at 1023 ½ Linden Avenue in Wilmette 

Mark C. had offered to host a brunch in his Wilmette townhouse mid-way through the ride. We will bike north on the North Branch Trail, east on Lake-Cook Road to the Green Bay Trail and then south to Mark’s townhouse for lunch. Plan on eating around 1 p.m. and then back to Chicago. Total distance is about 45 miles.  Meet in the parking lot just off Caldwell 1 mile North of Devon.

Aurora to Delevan (Training Ride, 170 miles)
Meet in parking lot, McCullough Park, Aurora 

This ride goes from Aurora to Delevan with an overnight stay at the Allyn Mansion and returning to Aurora on Sunday.  Distance is 85 miles each way.  Normally, a two-night minimum is required for weekends. However, we are being allowed to stay for a single night on a first come, first serve basis on the third floor only. Reserve soon to guarantee a spot. To get to McCullough Park, take I-88 west to Route 31 exit (Lake Street). Head south about 2 miles to Illinois Avenue. Turn left and the parking lot is immediately on your left just before the river. Drive from Chicago is 45-60 minutes. For more info contact Steve Cain at (773)-772-8521

WCCC is heading back to the picturesque village of Seillans in the South of France for another 10-day retreat to sun-drenched Provence. Last year’s trip was such a success, we decided to do it again. For more information, call Terry Cosgrove at (773)- 743-5176.

Chicago Boulevard-Lakefront Tour
Midway Plaisance (near Woodlawn Ave.) on the University of Chicago campus in Hyde Park 

The Chicagoland Bicycle Federation presents its twelfth annual BLT. This year, the BLT will be the last event of the month-long Chicago Bike 2000. Registration is $20 for CBF members and $25 for non-members until May 31. The T-shirt is free but lunch will cost an extra $5. Riders can register at the event for $30 but do not get a free T-shirt.
