Bowling
Marigold Bowl, 828 W. Grace St.

Drag out your old bowling shirt, those stylish bowling shoes, and that bowling ball you were always afraid to admit that you own.  This is your chance to re-define the social significance of this ever-popular indoor sport.  Just be sure that you wear flats.  The bowling lane insurance rider is extra.

For more info please contact David Gosnell or email or call Mark Peterson at (773) 338-8698.

For more info email or call Steve Cain at (773) 772-8521.

A weeknight in January. . . and, maybe, February.
?
Tobogganing
Some place local

Has it been a while since you've appreciated a Chicago winter? Because the weather is so unpredictable, call Tom with your name and number. He will call people when the conditions are right. Join this group to remember what made winter so much fun when we were kids!

For more info email or call Tom Hedeen at (773) 944-9449.

A weekend day in January. . . and, maybe, February.
?
Cross-Country Skiing
Some place local... Pray for Snow!

Following Tom's trusty lead, Evar has offered to gather the faithful for a day or two of cross-country skiing on a weekend in January or February.  If you are interested, ask him to add your name and number to the contact list.  He will let you know when and where the snow conditions are right or where it has snowed enough.  Sounds as unpredictable as a Chicago winter. . .  But you're sure to have a great time!

For more info email or call Evar Strid at (773) 274-6763.

Sunday, January 28
3:00 pm - 9:00 pm
Super "Bowl" Party III
Home of Tim Dugan and Robert Cowan, 3220 Sandy Lane, Glenview
(hosts of the infamous WCCC Post-AIDS Ride Welcome Back Pool Party)

Choose one of your favorites:  Waterford, Tupperware, or Pyrex.  Fill it with something good to eat, choose a favorite beverage, and get ready to show it off for your friends at the

"No Strings Attached:  The Re-Education of Ms. Braxton" Super BOWL Party 2001

Bundle up, get out of the house, and join us for this annual WCCC extravaganza. Lance Bass, JC Chasez, Joey Fatone, Chris Kirkpatrick and Justin Timberlake--all on a 60-inch screen. Memories of Ms. Braxton in 2000?  Maybe they can teach her something about true class.

Directions: Take the Kennedy north to the Edens.  Exit at Willow Road West. Go 3-4 miles (you will pass the big Super Target and go under train tracks. Stop here if you need to fill your bowl to the rim or forgot your beverage) to Greenwood (an intersection with stoplights).  Turn left onto Greenwood then turn left onto Mary Kay, then another left onto Sandy Lane -  Their house is the second on the left (3220 Sandy Lane). What's left?   Call 847.559.9133 if you get lost.

Oh, and for the third year in a row, there will be a football game on in the other room - if anyone is interested.

For more info please contact John Carlsen at [email protected].

Saturdays 9:00 am and Tuesdays 6:30 pm
Frontrunners/Frontwalkers/Frontbrunchers
Totem Pole, Addison/Lakefront, Chicago

Get out of the house and join our friends for a 15-mile run, a 3-mile walk, or something in between. The group gathers back at the Totem Pole before heading to a neighborhood place for breakfast on Saturdays and dinner on Tuesdays. This is a great way to keep those calves and thighs toned during the winter months.

Every Sunday
4pm - ?
Sundays at Big Chicks
Big Chicks, 5024 North Sheridan Road, Chicago

What better way to spend Sunday afternoons than with good company, good drink (vodka lemonades recommended) and delicious (FREE!) food... remember to thank owner Michelle Fire for supporting the WCCC.
